Monday Afternoon Market Recap

Kavanagh— Shares soared 10% in midday trading. The company said on Monday that it expects its used EV segment to grow exponentially as consumer demand for EVs soars.

wide awake— The luxury electric car company rose 3.4 percent. Lucid has gained more than 15% since January, and the stock has risen about 34% since hitting a 52-week low on June 23.

Shockwave Medical— Shares of the medical device maker rose 5.8% after Morgan Stanley upgraded its rating to "overweight." The Wall Street firm said consensus estimates had misjudged potential catalysts that could improve sales prospects for its key products.

Futures&Commodities

New York gold futures closed lower on Monday. This week, the gold market will pay close attention to the upcoming US CPI and PPI inflation data for June and its possible impact on the Fed's policy. Gold futures for August delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell $1.50, or nearly 0.1%, to settle at $1,931 an ounce.

U.S. WTI crude oil futures fell more than 1% on Monday, their biggest one-day drop in a week. West Texas Intermediate crude for August delivery fell 87 cents, or 1.2%, to settle at $72.99 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
