    My first half of 2025 was bittersweet i thought i made good choices when selling some of my socks but it was not. So disappointed in myself. What was done cannot be undone. Let this be a lesson learnt.

    2025 has been nothing short of a wild roller coaster ride. The year kicked off with optimism, riding the AI boom & solid earnings from the tech sector. I felt like I was on top of the world, watching my portfolio climb steadily, especially with exposure to semiconductors and EV-related plays. But just when I started thinking, “This is the year!”, the rug got pulled out from under me.

    Enter Trump & his new wave of tariff threats — markets got jittery, especially anything tied to China or global supply chains. And just when I thought I could navigate that storm, the unexpected public spat between Trump & Elon Musk erupted. As someone holding Tesla and other Musk-related plays, that conflict tanked sentiment overnight. It felt like I had no control, up one day, crushed the next, and all I could do was hold tight to the bar & scream.

    The image I shared perfectly sums it all up: me, holding on for dear life in a stock market roller coaster.

    Bank counters like OCBC are really resilient indeed. In around early Apr, it has started to fall badly from about $17 due to Trump's liberation day. To date, it has normalized almost fully. This has proven again bank counters are really strong in Singapore. Investors' confidence level regains fast indeed.     Good investment and I will just buy when I felt the price is right. Be it rain or sun - it doesn’t bother me as I m a long term investor. I m hungry for dividends.


    6 months more before it is end of 2025 and I have stop monitoring my SG dividends for this year as this week was a terrible week for me - iPhone14 orange screen of death. Next week I will be in full gear again. Anyway, I m very happy with the profits for SG stocks, UT and U.S. stocks with Tiger. ESPP is always in profits.
